Welcoming K-12th graders in the Ida B. Wells High School and Lincoln High School districts, and the surrounding areas.
Sideline season is what people traditionally think of when they think of cheer-leading; a squad of cheerleaders getting the crowd involved in a football game. Our K-8th grade teams cheer for the Lincoln and Ida B Wells youth football teams. Our sideline season begins August 19th and goes through November 1st. Sideline includes 2 practices and 1 tumbling session a week and games on the weekends. Sideline is required for athletes planning to participate in the competitive season.
Fall is all about skills for our Senior Team (9-12th graders). Fall training includes 2 practices and 1 tumbling session each week August 19th to November 1st. Fall training is required for athletes planning to participate in the competitive season.
Competitive season is just that, our cheer teams that compete in local state competitions. Tryouts will be held at the end of August/early September. Junior and Senior teams compete, while our youth team is an exhibition team that performs at the same competitions as the other teams without the pressure of being judged. Choreography weekend for Jr. & Sr. Teams is in October and competitions begin in December or January. The competitive season ends with the State Competition in February and an awards banquet, of course.
